Baby Three is a Girl!
The boys are outnumbered now! Preston and Eva get a new little sister! We are very excited. Most everyone guessed right about it being a girl. Only mommy, grandma, Uncle Kevin and Preston were wrong. GG and Kim have kept their winning streak alive. Good job to the rest of you for correctly guessing! Here are some pictures from the ultrasound today:

Three Hunter Kids
Soon there will be three hunter kids, instead of just two. I thought it was important for us to represent all three hunter kids well and that is why we have created this new blogspot (Three Hunter Kids). Adding number three to the family is like trying to balance an apple on top a fruit bowl that is already too full. The apple will definitely enhance the appearance of the fruit bowl, even adding to how appetizing the fruit bowl is, but adding the apple is definitely difficult and takes a lot of balance. That is how I feel, seeing as I just have two hands, not three. But number three is on the way and with daddy supporting us and kid number one big enough to help out, we will make it. We're Hunters!
The Buzz Lightyear Blast Off!
Preston had his birthday party yesterday. He is now three years old and always running around like his feet weren't meant for anything but that. His mouth was not programmed with an off button. We have to bribe him to stay quiet long enough during meal times to get the fork from his plate to his mouth. He wants Eva with him all the time and if they are ever separated for anything longer than a nap he starts to pout and cry as if he will never see her again. Sometimes Preston and Eva giggle together over nothing, to the adult viewer it seems as if they just decided to laugh because laughing is fun, but I like to believe they have deeper reasons than that. Their laughter jumps off their tongues and leaps out into the room all at once as if arriving so abruptly that no one would be able to trace it back to its source.
I will write more about the actual party later, when the pictures are available.

Preston's Knowledge
We had a small family home evening lesson yesterday while taking a walk. We learned about the Creation. To start the lesson, Daddy asked, "What is this?" (holding up a picture). Preston answered "the world." Correct!
Then Daddy asked "Do you know who created the world?"
"Jesus... and he made the sidewalk and the street and the clouds way up high."
Right again! Then we talked about how He created the world for us and how we came here from Heaven. Daddy asked, "Do you know why we had to come to earth?"
"Because Jesus Christ told us to come to earth and so we come to the earth."
I thought that was pretty astute! We explained to him the other reasons as well.
He really grasps things so well and analyzes them. He asks questions all the time until he knows the reasons for everything. When driving in the car he often asks "Why are you going fast?" I tell him it is the speed limit. Then he'll ask, "why can you not go faster?" I say that would be breaking the speed limit. He sometimes says, "ooohh!" like he understands everything and sometimes says, "Then we would not be safe... if we go faster we aren't safe, is that why mommy?" It is really hilarious when he makes up his own reasons for things, because sometimes they don't apply at all. Sometimes his reasons for having to eat lunch or something simple like that are "because Woody still has an owner" or "Not today Zurg" or "because 'there's something alive in here' that might get us." He is always talking and I wish that I could attach his mouth to the keyboard because that is the only way I would ever get to remember half of what he says.
