U.S. Open Nationals in Cleveland, Ohio

Here is the first video of Kevin's last match. He did awesome. In the first period he won 1-0 and in the second period he won 8-1 (after a 6 point lead, the match is automatically won). We are proud of him for qualifying for the World Team Trials in June. Iowa here we come!

This is the end of Kevin's 7th place match at Nationals. He did great! After the match his coach told him, "You fought like a tiger!" Good job Dad!

Boise Idaho Temple

We took the kids to visit the Boise Idaho Temple Grounds. It is a ten minute drive from our house. We feel very blessed to be outside of Utah and still have a temple so close. It is amazing the love and peace that you feel just walking on the grounds of the temple. Both Preston and Eva loved being there. Preston has referred to this temple as "his temple" ever since first seeing it when we moved here three weeks ago, even though we repeatedly tell him that all the temples belong to Heavenly Father. My favorite flower is the daffodil. The Boise temple has tons and tons. Just one tender mercy from Heavenly Father confirming that Boise is where we are supposed to be!

Scenic Idaho

We are here in Idaho now. We have been having lots of fun. Preston and Eva have seen squirrels, ducks, and an owl. We have heard the owl hoot at morning and at night. We went to the Foothills Learning Center and learned all about owls. The kids got their faces painted like owls and we went on a short nature walk, where we saw an owl in a tree and the nesting spot of the mommy and baby owls (they have nested in the same spot for 30 years)! It was a very fun outing. We forgot our camera, but we took pictures of their face paint when we got home. There is a very good one of Eva saying "cheese."

Happy Easter!

Happy Easter everyone! We had a wonderful Easter morning in the four inches of snow that fell last night. Preston wanted to make a snowman, and to be more Easter-y we turned him into a snow bunny, complete with carrot nose and smile and chocolate Easter egg eyes!

We also enjoyed listening to the prophets today, hearing beautiful music about "Christ coming back to earth" (from Preston) and spending our last weekend here with family before our move to Idaho.
