Daddy getting some daddy-daughter time with Eva. She woke up from her nap early and only wanted to go to daddy. I tried to rock her and give her dolly and let her rest on my shoulder, but no. She begged to get down and then walked around the house until she found daddy in the kitchen. She lifted her arms up to him right away. As soon as he picked her up she put her head on his shoulder. He took the opportunity to nap as well. They were like this for an hour!

Some Summer Fun

A visit to the Rose Garden and a picnic with the ducks. Literally, with the ducks. They are way too used to humans. They wouldn't go away. They followed us all the way to the table and back to the car. The kids were scared and daddy actually got nipped on the leg!

From Kevin's Birthday in June

These pics are of Kevin's massive birthday cake. He wanted a cookie cake so I baked five layers of cookies with different chips (peanut butter, chocolate and white chocolate) with cream cheese frosting holding it all together (also in varying flavors). He loved it. It was tasty, but huge. We invited neighbors over to share and we still ended up with 3/4 of the cake after the celebration. But not to worry, Kevin finished it. Took a couple days, but he did it.

Okay, so time for updates, right? Well, for a week we were in Utah and for a week and a half ourr internet wasn't working. So I use that for half my excuse. Little Ellie should be here soon and then she will be stealing all the blogging time with her cute new self, so I figure I should get these summer time pictures up here now!

Eva is doing gymnastics! When she was doing it before the camera started she was saying, "walk, walk, walk, walk, walk" all the way across the couch. Very adorable.
