I had to write a dramatic monologue for school. Preston was my inspiration: well, actually my monologue is pretty much taken word for word from Preston (more of it is actually in Portuguese, but it was written for an English class, so I translated).
The Drive There
Did you see that bird in the tree? That tree over there.
It’s all gone. Bye bye birdy. The birdy is all gone.
That’s a church. That’s our church, mommy! We go to church today?
No! We don’t go to church today. I go to nursery—Sundays, mommy.
Look at the mountains! I see BYU on the mountain.
Do you see BYU on the mountain, mommy? Daddy at BYU?
Daddy is at BYU. Are we going to BYU? I wanna go to BYU.
Can I go to school too? I want to go to school with mommy.
Can I touch the motos at BYU? Can I count the motos?
Yes, I can count the motos! Do you want to count them too?
Does Daddy want to count them? Wow, a bus is coming! It’s coming!
Mommy, it’s not a big bus! It’s a school bus! A school bus, mommy!
I see the temple! Not a church! It’s the temple. It’s far away.
Where’d the temple go mommy? Where did it go? Oh, I see it!
Temple is behind the tree mommy! There it is. I can see it.
Baby is crying, mommy. She wants a song. Can we sing a song?
Let’s sing her “ohh, ohh, ohhh.” “Ohh, ohh, ohh,” Sing mommy.
She’s singing too. She’s happy mommy. She likes the song.
We’re at BYU! I see BYU. Where is Daddy? Here he comes.
Hi Daddy! Can I go to school too? I want to go to BYU. Let’s go to BYU.

More Cute Sayings
We went to the temple grounds for Family Home Evening to teach Preston and Eva about the temple. It was a very sweet experience. Preston liked it a lot. We sang "I love to see the Temple" and Preston sang the last word of every phrase. He remembers a lot of songs! Preston and Daddy explored the temple grounds (grass, hills, flowers, pathways, trees) while I fed Eva. He was near me trying to climb a tree and I asked him "What is this tree close too?" (Trying to get him to realize he was playing at the temple). He answered me, "This is HIS tree." So Daddy asked, "Who is "his"?" Preston answered "Jesus Christ." He just knew it!
We were singing "Nephi of Old" (We'll Bring the World His Truth) and we came to the line "of goodly parents who love the Lord." I paused after "who love" to let him fill in the words "the Lord" like he usually will. But Preston, after hearing "who love" decided to say "my Grandma." Very cute. He loves you Grandma!
Preston and Daddy have invented a hugging game. It is really sweet. Preston says "grande" or "pequeno" and Daddy gives him big "grande" hug or a small "pequeno" hug. He says "grande" in his big voice and "pequeno" in this little high-pitched sweet tiny voice. Man, adorable, I tell you.
Our neice, Preston and Eva's cousin, Sierra, who is about one and a half, really loves little Eva. Whenever she comes over she is always saying "baby Eva" and pointing to her or playing with her. Sierra was at her house and had a poopy diaper. Her mom asked "Are you poopy?" and Sierra said, "No. Eva's poopy." The next time she was poopy she just told her mom, "Eva's poopy." How cute!

Cute comments
Stuff while Grandma and Grandpa were in town...
Grandpa asks Preston to shake his hand.
Preston says: "Are you a prophet?"
Katelynne was riding in the car next to Preston and started messing with his hair.
He says: Stop! Stop!
Katelynne: Stop what?
Preston: Stop that yucky stuff! Stop doing yucky stuff to my head!
Every morning Grandma was in town (and a couple mornings after) Preston woke up saying:
Can I go to GGs house to see Grandma? or Where's Grandma? or I want Grandma.
He wanted to spend every waking moment with her.
There are a million more cute stories. I will have to be reminded of them later.
This one is from yesterday:
We arrived at church.
Preston: "What's that on top of the church? Up there on top? What's that?"
Mommy: "What's what? What thing on top of the church?"
Preston: "Up there. On top! It's, it's...It looks like a little door or something."
We taught him about the steeple. How cute is that? He is able to express himself so well!
Gotta go, but I will go remember more cute stories for later.
