We all love you Grandma, even little Ellie!

I wish...

I wish that on Mother's Day twenty years ago, I woke up happy and beaming and brought you flowers and breakfast in bed, instead of demanding my own.

I wish that although I was three, I spent the day singing "Mother I love you" and didn't whine or get sent to time out for kicking my little brother.

I wish that on Mother's Day twenty two years ago, I held my diarrhea until the next day because I knew it was your day to feel extra special, not extra poopy.

I wish that, although I was one, I went right to sleep at nap time and sat still all through sacrament meeting so you didn't miss a word about what a great mother you are.

I wish that, although I most likely did not do these things, you know that I appreciate all that you have done as my mother. Now that I am one, I can understand more and more the eternal love you have for me and be truly grateful to you for doing all of the motherly duties that I know didn't stand still because it was Mother's Day.

Hopefully, today you have a great one. I love you, Mom.
